MySpace and Music

According to a report from Scientific American (via Reuters), MySpace is reportedly in talks with four major music labels to create an online music distribution system to rival Apple's iTunes (which currently dominates the market).  The venture is expected to offer free, advertising supported music streamed over the Internet, as well as a store that will sell songs playable on portable devices, including iPods.  Amazon.com is reportedly very interested in the deal.
